Financial Controller

Job Description : FC SINGAPORE An exciting Financial Controller job has become available at an established agribusiness company based in Singapore, with a strong reputation and global branding. About the Financial Controller role: Reporting to the APAC CFO, the Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing various financial and cost management aspects, including manufacturing accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. In addition, you will be involved in financial risk management. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff. Manage all accounting operations in SAP, including billing, capital expenditures (Capex), accounts receivable (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), general ledger (GL), cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance and maintain internal controls. Participate in operational excellence programs and new initiatives. Coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and analyze and report on variances. Research technical accounting issues to ensure compliance. Prepare and publish monthly financial statements in a timely manner. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reports. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. Support the month-end and year-end close process. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements, as well as tax filings. Perform additional controller duties as necessary. To succeed in this Financial Controller role, you need to be a highly motivated individual who is detail- oriented and has excellent communication skills. Big 4 and manufacturing industry experience is preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or successful completion of the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) exam, or the international equivalent. Proficiency in financial software systems and advanced MS Excel skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills. Thorough knowledge of cost and management accounting principles and procedures.
