Job Description : COO PAlM PLANTATION AND PROCESSING INDIA The COO of Agronomy will direct and oversee the profitability, risk management, growth and strategic planning of the Palm Plantation & Milling division. Ideal Candidate Qualities: 1- An experienced business leader with appropriate industry experience, preferably in agribusiness that has advanced project management skills to plan, implement and monitor progress. 2- An influential leader with high ethical standards with sound knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus. 3- A well organized and self-directed leader who is a team player. An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills. 4- A good educator who is trustworthy and willing to share information and serve as a mentor. 5- A momentous leader who is able to divide attention, keep rapid momentum, and provide direction for multiple unrelated issues and initiatives simultaneously. Responsibilities: 1- Business profitability: a. Reviews and balances b. Manages P&L performance and inventory c. Partners with the Agronomy & Milling Management to develop and implement best practices d. Establishes and promotes strong customer service practices e. Establishes pricing and purchasing policies o Monitors department performance against industry benchmarks Strategic Planning: a. Develops, executes, monitors strategic plan aligned with company goals b. Develops and monitors action plans c. Prioritizes and organizes tasks d. Creates and supports department mission and vision Risk Management: a. Partners with the Senior Management to oversee safety and regulatory compliance b. Enforces company policy procedures c. Mitigates risk in all areas of the division (financial, inventory, safety, etc) 4- Divisional Leadership / Employee Engagement: a. Oversees the Agronomy management team by assisting with establishing workflows and procedures, creating and monitoring standards of performance. b. Mentors, coaches and develops each manager within their division to ensure they are positioned for success.
