The successful candidate will be responsible for monthly and statutory reporting, financial due diligence, and providing finance-driven insights to empower a high-performing culture. * Lead a future-focused finance team * Enable implementation of strategic projects * Identify risks and opportunities to drive positive business outcomes As a Group Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading a dynamic finance team. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting and reporting while ensuring that all processes are efficient, accurate, and compliant with regulations. Your role will also involve undertaking financial due diligence on potential acquisitions, contributing valuable insights that will shape strategic decisions. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to develop your team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement. Provide strategic leadership and management of the group accounting team Ensure accounting and reporting are clearly defined, understood, and delivered to the highest standards Act as the technical accounting lead responsible for the group's monthly and external statutory reporting Provide operational accounting support across the centre ensuring appropriate controls, policies, and processes are embedded Identify and execute changing accounting regulations and standards as required Contribute to Audit Risk and Compliance Committee for accounting and finance papers Undertake financial due diligence on potential acquisitions, making recommendations and delivering integration pathway and milestones Focus on operational and process metrics, working collaboratively with the business to identify opportunities to simplify processes, surface data, and improve performance Manage financial risk through embedding adaptive compliance and controls Develop and coach team members to build the bench strength capability of the team Key Requirements: The ideal candidate for this Group Finance Manager position will bring a wealth of experience in financial management, preferably gained within a big 4 practice and large enterprises. You will have a solid understanding of financial controls and processes, supported by knowledge of finance ERP systems. Your passion for finance automation and improving efficiencies will be key to driving the team's performance. With excellent planning and communication skills, you will be adept at establishing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders. Your ability to operate as a trusted advisor, coupled with your strong attention to detail, will enable you to excel in this role. Bachelor degree in Commerce or equivalent Professional Accounting Qualification (CIMA/CA/CFA) and member of NZICA or equivalent Strong track record in financial management, preferably trained within big 4 practice with experience in large enterprises Solid grasp of financial controls and process supported with knowledge of finance ERP systems (knowledge of SAP desirable) Experience with accounting standards and statutory financial reporting within a consolidated group Passionate about finance automation and improving efficiencies and reporting Excellent planning and communication skills – both written and verbal Proven track record of establishing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders Experience operating as a trusted advisor with strong attention to detail
