Job Description : RSM FOR PHARMA a leading UAE-based pharmaceutical firm specializing in the distribution of pharmaceutical products and medicines, both independently and through various distributors, is embarking on an ambitious expansion initiative within the GCC region, commencing from KSA. With an extensive portfolio comprising approximately 25 proprietary products and an additional 40 products from diverse brands, encompassing over 300 SKUs, the company is poised for substantial growth. They are seeking a Regional Sales Manager for the GCC & Africa region, with the flexibility to be based either in KSA or UAE. The primary responsibility of this role will be to oversee the expansion of the company's product portfolio within these regions, excluding the UAE. This position necessitates extensive travel and the cultivation of strong connections with pharmaceutical distributors across the GCC. Candidates with experience in appointing distributors will be preferred, and familiarity with the African market will be considered an added advantage. Additionally, a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory landscape pertaining to product registration in various regions is essential for success in this role. Market Assessment: Conduct extensive travel across GCC countries to assess and evaluate potential pharmaceutical companies for the appointment of distributors for our proprietary agency products. Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate closely with the Business Development Manager (Product Sourcing) to ensure thorough regulatory compliance and alignment with each country's regulatory and commercial requisites to facilitate successful distribution. Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations of commercial and legal terms with distributors, engaging with management and legal departments to finalize sub-licensing and distribution agreements. Market Forecasting: Analyze market potential for each product and establish forecast agreements with distributors, actively monitoring and ensuring achievement through regular visits and coordination. Distributor Evaluation: Assess potential distributors through on-site visits to their facilities and customer base, evaluating their marketing capabilities and determining their capacity to drive product success within their respective regions. Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated capability to lead teams effectively and provide timely reporting to management. Regional Experience: Minimum 8 years of recent experience in a similar role within the GCC (excluding UAE) and Africa, with a comprehensive understanding of regional market dynamics. Product Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of pharmaceuticals and over-the-counter (OTC) products, coupled with an educational background conducive to pharmaceutical comprehension. Regulatory Acumen: Proficiency in regulatory frameworks governing pharmaceuticals in GCC and African countries. Commercial Aptitude: Strong negotiation skills with a keen ability to drive favorable commercial outcomes.
