Warehouse Manager

Job Description : WH MANAGER UGANDA 12+ years experience As a Warehouse Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient operations of our warehouse. Your responsibilities will span receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance. Youll ensure that all processes run smoothly, productivity targets are met, and safety protocols are adhered to. 1. Strategic Management: o Strategically manage the warehouse in alignment with the companys policies and vision. o Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations. o Set up the warehouse layout to ensure efficient space utilization. 2. Operational Excellence: o Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures. o Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements. o Maintain health, safety, hygiene, and security standards. o Manage stock control and reconcile data storage systems. 3. Team Leadership: o Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately, and evaluate results. o Recruit, select, orient, coach, and motivate employees. o Foster a positive work environment. 4. Reporting and Analysis: o Produce regular reports and statistics (e.g., IN/OUT status report, dead stock report). o Receive feedback and monitor service quality. Requirements and Skills Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager. Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices. Ability to implement process improvement initiatives. Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases. Leadership skills and the ability to manage staff effectively. Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills. Bachelors degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration.
