Job Description : VP LOGISTICS NIGERIA An exciting opportunity has become available at an e-procurement company that distributes food supplies directly from farmers and food manufacturers. They have operations in Nigeria and Ghana and are currently recruiting for a Vice President of Logistics. Job responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimise key input metrics and improve corresponding output metrics, including order accuracy, on-time delivery rates, and product quality at point of delivery. Analyse supply chain data to identify trends, forecast demand, and make informed decisions to optimise inventory levels and respond to market changes. Streamline inventory management, warehouse operations, and transportation logistics to reduce order fulfilment cycle time and improve efficiency. Focus on improving inventory turns by optimising replenishment lead times and sales velocity. Drive supply chain costs, budget and financial metrics to optimise for cost-effectiveness without compromising service quality. Leverage technology and supply chain management systems to improve efficiency, visibility, and automation within the supply chain. Candidate requirements: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred 10 - 12 years experience in Supply Chain or Logistics leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction in large scale FMCG e-commerce Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive digital transformation and innovation in logistics Knowledge of financial acumen, including supply chain costs, budgeting, and financial metrics Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Expertise in supply chain management systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS) and related technology Solutions
