Production Manager

Job Description : Production Manager (Injection Molding Department Head)* *Reports to: Plant Head* MOMBASSA KENYA *MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:* The job holder has an active role in the Technical Management Team as a production Manager for Injection & molding Department. The core tasks of the activities are the execution of smooth Production flow of production orders on the ma-chines for Injection molding and blow molding parts, upkeep of the machines, scheduling of manpower on the machines, focused on output and team performance. *TASK DESCRIPTION:* • Develop SOP for the Injection and Blow Molding Departments • Sort of Day-to-Day Issues of Manpower/ Raw Material/ Process Quality/ Output improvement/ Utilization • Forecast required Manpower based on the scheduled orders and plan the most efficient utilization of Man, Machine and Material • Report from Shift leaders on concerns and handle them amicably. • Ensure safety at the workplace. • Conduct Mold trials as per the schedule from Sales for delivery • Invest in the latest technology to make the Operations Faster Better and Cheaper • Train team in building efficiency and defect free part production • Evaluation of Team Performance. • Knowledge of Machine Startup, Quality Test of parts • Prepare Production Report and KPI charts at the end of the month and analyze area of improvement • Ensuring product output as per production order with lowest rejection rate and highest process security. • Plan procurement of Raw Material from RM storage zone *Projects/ New Mold Prove put.* • Support for individual projects / New Mold prove out in a timely manner based on the require-ment from sales deployment. • Take active participation in learning new production technologies and training team on technol-ogy. • Learn about the latest model of machines and familiarize with the controllers and operations. • Support in Erection and commissioning of new blow molding machines and equipment 1. Operational Safety Promotion of active occupational safety health in collaboration with safety specialist and EHS team Compliance with work and environmental protection in maintenance 2. Procurement 3. Others Orderliness and cleanliness in the field of Injection molding Department Active participation in group work and the CIP (continuous improvement process) in its area Focused on Teamwork and getting the Team motivated 4. Education / experience / knowledge / skills • Completed training as a Diploma in Plastic Processing, Mechanical or electrical engineering for operation technology for building and infrastructure systems or Masters in Plastic Processing • Maintaining records for ISO-9001-2015 • Basic Use of Computers and knowledge in making reports in SAP and understanding the pro-cess operations of Hydra • Sound knowledge of blow molding & Injection Molding, operation and building technology
