The successful candidate will be based in the vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur, with occasional travel across Asia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT Service Continuity and Resilience, with a focus on Disaster Recovery (DR) architecture design. Oversee Business Continuity Management and IT Disaster Recovery functions * Define and implement risk-based standards, procedures, and templates * Based in Kuala Lumpur with occasional travel across Asia As an IT Resilience Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client's Business Continuity Management (BCM) and IT Disaster Recovery (DR) functions. You will be responsible for defining and implementing risk-based standards, procedures, and templates that respond effectively to any disruptions in business or IT operations. Your role will also involve supporting the development of an operational resilience framework for the Group. You will ensure that first-line teams are managing IT resilience and business continuity risks appropriately. Your leadership skills will be crucial as you lead accountability reviews for both IT DR and BCM. * Oversee the design, implementation, testing and continuous improvement of the IT DR and BCM Programmes across the Group. * Support the development of an operational resilience framework for the Group. * Ensure the 1st line teams are managing IT resilience and business continuity risks appropriately. * Maintain and continuously improve effective IT DR and BCM Programmes and related governance. * Collaborate with business continuity stakeholders, local business units, external business partners and key IT stakeholders. * Lead IT DR accountability reviews, discuss findings with management The ideal candidate for this IT Resilience Director role brings a wealth of experience in Business Continuity and IT Service Resilience. You should have a strong focus on IT Disaster Recovery Management and a solid understanding of risk management principles. Your experience in defining, implementing, and enforcing risk-based standards will be crucial to your success in this role. A deep understanding of ISO 22301, ITIL v3, DRI International (DRII) or Business Continuity Institute (BCI) professional practices is highly desirable. Your ability to create new operational models and procedures will be highly valued. * Proven experience in Business Continuity and IT Service Resilience, particularly in IT Disaster Recovery Management. * Strong knowledge of risk management principles. * Experience in defining, implementing, and enforcing risk-based standards. * Understanding of ISO 22301, ITIL v3, DRI International (DRII) or Business Continuity Institute (BCI) professional practices. * Experience in creating new operational models and procedures. * Knowledge of operational resilience best practice.
