Job Description : OPERATIONS HEAD SOUTH AFRICA Role is open to suitably qualified International candidates leading skincare products company. This role is based in Boksburg, Johannesburg, at the heart of the company's global manufacturing site. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in contributing both strategically and practically to the continuous improvement of daily operations. This includes implementing and maintaining best-in-class manufacturing operations, leading project identification, development, and implementation, and managing diverse teams within a fast-paced, technical production environment. Your role will involve implementing and maintaining top-tier manufacturing processes while fostering an environment that encourages continuous improvement. You will draw on your strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with key stakeholders across the business, making critical decisions that shape our operational activities and goals. Your ability to manage stock control effectively will be crucial in supporting our manufacture-to-order and just-in-time business models. As the primary point of contact for operational issues, you will work collaboratively across functions to ensure timely delivery. Your leadership will also extend to identifying and implementing operations projects as well as spotting performance improvement opportunities within your teams. Implement and maintain best-in-class manufacturing and production operations Leverage relationships with department heads, business partners, and suppliers to make decisions regarding operational activities and goals Ensure effective implementation of procurement strategy to support manufacture-to-order and just-in-time business models Manage stock control throughout receiving, movement, dispatch, and storage of inventory Serve as primary point of contact for operational issues, working cross-functionally to mitigate their impact on delivery timelines Lead operations projects from identification through to development and implementation Identify performance improvement opportunities within your teams Ensure compliance of all operations departments with company policies relating to health & safety and quality management systems The ideal Head of Operations will bring a wealth of experience from a packaging/production management role within a FMCG environment. With at least 10 years under your belt, you have honed your organisational skills to an exceptional level. Your degree in Commerce from a leading university has equipped you with the knowledge needed to excel in this role. Your leadership style is action-oriented and collaborative, allowing you to effectively manage diverse teams. A keen eye for detail is crucial in this role, as it will enable you to identify areas for improvement and ensure the highest standards are maintained.
