Job Description : SALES AND MARKETING DIRECTOR EAST AFRICA FOR AUTO Reporting into the Managing Director and leading a team of +40 people(Aftermarket and OEM sales & marketing teams), your responsibilities will include: Develop and execute the sales, marketing and corporate communication strategies aligned with the company's objectives and market trends; Taking a role in the determination of the sales targets made within the scope of the annual budget studies, determining the annual marketing budget in line with the determined targets, comparing it with the financial targets and presenting it to the superiors; Identify key target markets, customer segments, and competitive positioning to drive revenue growth; Analyze market conditions, customer needs, and industry trends to identify new opportunities for business expansion; Lead and manage sales and marketing teams; recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a high performing sales and marketing team; Establish sales targets and closely monitor performance against those targets; Set clear performance goals and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to maximize team productivity; Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, strategic partners, and industry's main players; Identify and pursue new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve sales objectives; Monitor and analyze marketing metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven decisions; Leverage industry insights to identify potential risks and opportunities and make informed business decisions; Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to enhance brand awareness and drive demand; Oversee the creation of marketing collateral, advertising campaigns, and digital marketing strategies; Manage the corporate communication function, including internal and external communications, public relations, and crisis management; Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to promote the organization's mission, values, and key messages; Foster a collaborative and results-oriented culture within the team and across the teams; Work closely with R&D, technical teams to align sales and marketing strategies with product offerings and production capabilities; Collaborate with supply chain and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly; Keep abreast of the latest developments in the automotive industry, including emerging technologies, market trends, and competitor activities. The Successful Applicant The successful candidate must have +20 years of production background and at least +5 years of experience managing sales teams. Automotive sector experience is a must. You will be also having a strong background in; In depth knowledge of B2B and B2C sales and value-based selling Successfully leading, coaching, motivating and developing a team Detail oriented, planning, organising and time management skills Takes initiate as a problem solver Skilled in negotiations, developing sales strategies and forecasting Having a high sense of integrity Great at interpersonal and communication skills Willingness to travel to other countries in the region
