Director - Maintenance & Production Control

Job Description : Director - Maintenance & Production Control reports to Board. Location -Abu Dhabi Salary - AED.500,000 to AED.550,000 PA Plans, organises, schedules, and directs all maintenance and production control activities as part of the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services provided to the General Maintenance Corps (GMC) by our government client. Ensures the process is maintained within the latest ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standards. RESPONSIBILITIES * Develop, implement and revise the strategic processes of the Maintenance and Production Control Department based on the company business plan(s). * Perform quality work as part of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System program. * Direct the Associate Director, Maintenance and the Senior Manager, Production Control with regards to production planning scheduling, data analysis, spare parts availability and loading of the workshops. * Review all department activities to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and established client Quality and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards. * Direct depot level maintenance support to include maintenance and modification of both track laying and wheeled vehicles, electronics testing and repair, allied trades support and assembly/component (e.g. engines and transmissions) overhauling. * Monitor execution of the ASP and other maintenance directed activities using the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). * Prepare routine reports for senior management and the GMC Program Management Office (PMO). * Develop, monitor and manage the annual budget of the Maintenance and Production Control Department. * Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company documents. * Perform other duties as directed by the Executive Director. QUALIFICATIONS * A Bachelor’s degree is required; in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is preferred. A Master’s degree is an advantage. * Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering required, Master degree preferred, or Equivalent years of Experiences in same field * Previous experience using a CMMS such as MAXIMO, SAP etc. is preferred. * Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and ISO methodologies, practices and processes in a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) setting is an advantage. * An excellent grasp of Microsoft Office software is required. * The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required. * Have, or be able to obtain a valid UAE driver’s license.
