Finance and Accounting Director

Job Description : FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING DIRECTOR THAILAND ( OPEN TO EXPATS) An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance & Accounting Director (x1 vacancy) to join a leading retail company based in Bangkok. This role is perfect for an individual with strong experiences in finance and accounting who is looking to make a significant impact within a dynamic organisation. As a Finance & Accounting Director you will involves leading strategic planning, analyzing financial data, and supporting decision-making for subsidiary companies. It also includes overseeing accounting and tax compliance, collaborating with top executives and relevant departments, and enhancing team performance. • Strategy & Planning: Devise and execute financial strategies with the executive team to achieve company objectives. Assess operational and financial risks. Predict and allocate financial resources. Establish targets and oversee departmental performance. • Financial Planning & Analysis: Create budgets and financial objectives. Monitor performance against budgets and analyze discrepancies. Evaluate business performance, costs, revenues, margins, etc. • Accounting & Reporting: Manage financial accounting systems and reporting. Ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data. Generate financial reports in line with generally accepted accounting standards. Communicate financial information to management and stakeholders. • Team Management: Lead the accounting team. Develop training plans with HR for staff. Motivate and retain skilled staff. • Internal Control: Develop effective internal control systems. Audit and assess internal control systems. Mitigate financial risks and fraud within the organization. Collaborate with External Auditors for audits. • Payroll: Collaborate with CEO and HR to determine compensation, salaries, bonuses, and benefits. Manage the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payments. Analyze payroll data to support related decisions. • Internal Consultation for Business Decision: Offer financial consultation to various departments and management. Analyze business scenarios such as Return of Investment from promotions or standalone branch P&L to gauge feasibility. Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in finance. Experience in retail or restaurant business is advantageous. Strong financial analysis abilities. Effective communication and presentation capabilities. Leadership and managerial prowess. Knowledge of accounting systems and standards. Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP Software (Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Navision is advantageous). Proficient in written and spoken English.
