Business Head

Job Description : Business Head- Lead Smelting Plant Job Location: West Africa Reports to: MD Reported by: 3-4 Expat staff from India, include Plant Manager, Supervisor. Role Involves: Responsible for Procurement, Admin and Stores Operations, Production, QC, SCM, Sale of By Products, MIS and reporting, Forecasting and Budgeting, Environment, Health and Safety, Sanitation and Compliance. Project setup is ongoing and operations to start in 1-2 months' time. Lead melting and Battery Manufacturing plant. Pure Lead Non-Oil Export Project. Plant Capacity: 1000 tons/month. Roles & Responsibilities: 1. Procurement and Sale of By Products · Ensure well in time, effective, optimum quantity and quality Raw Material, Stores and Consumables. 1. Admin and Stores Operations · Ensure flawless and effective admin and store operations. · Assemble and prepare raw materials for production. · Maintain proper storage for material and product inventory in factory. Organize inventory in an easy-to-access process. · Receive workers and assist them with the selection of merchandise. · Integrate best practices and standards in administrative functions. 1. Production · Monitor / Co-operate with the efficiency of the production line to ensure timely and accurate load and quality-optimum production. · Provide support for facilities and maintenance department to minimize down time. 1. Quality Control · Complete quality assurance testing on goods and materials. 1. Supply Chain and logistics. · Monitor movement of inbound materials or finished products and packages for seamless supply chain. · Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled either inbound or outbound or shipping. 1. MIS and reporting · Collaborating with management and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements in quality control. · Analyse production processes with production manager, schedules, methods, and other data and then provide management with reports containing the data and statistics to enable management to better understand future requirements needed for the manufacturing process. 1. Forecasting and Budgeting · Review and calculate labor, material, and other production costs along with reviewing schedules and future production requirements to assist management in decision making. · Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency. 1. Environment, Health, Safety, Sanitation and Compliance · Performing routine maintenance around the factory such as fixing structural damage, equipment, machinery and tools. · Applying preventative measures to the factory to reduce the risk of future problems. · Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries. · Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through timely inspection and repair. · Ensure that company premises and facility workplace safety policies and standards. · Implore and implement the best environmental, health and safety policies and strict compliance. · Ensure a high level of hygiene and sanitation all around. · Ensure that the companys manufacturing processes follow all government laws and regulations.
