General Manager

Job Description : GM TANZANIA The General manager will be expected to take charge of the day-to-day operations of the poultry farming and real estate divisions, ensuring operational efficiency and profitability. Develop and execute strategic initiatives to enhance chick brooding and layer chicken production processes, with a focus on scaling operations effectively. Collaborate closely with the Director (Owner) to align operational objectives with broader business goals and objectives. Lead a team of direct reports, providing guidance, support, and leadership to foster a culture of excellence and achievement. Stay abreast of industry trends and market developments, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental practices. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in operational roles within the poultry farming industry. Deep knowledge of poultry farming practices, including chick brooding and layer chicken production, coupled with a proven track record of driving profitability and growth. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team. Strategic mindset with a results-oriented approach to problem-solving and decision-making. While a degree in agriculture, business management, or related field is preferred, candidates with relevant experience will also be considered. Ideal candidates will have experience working in multicultural environments. Fluency in English is required Competitive base salary with performance-based incentives. Housing allowance provided.
