Job Description : TRADING HEAD VIETNAM ( OPEN TO EXPATS) An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced Head of Trading to join a leading retail business based in Ho Chi Minh City. This role offers the chance to lead and execute daily operations of a trading team, with a focus on strategic planning, negotiation, and sales performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency of business operations as well as setting strategic goals for the future. Lead and execute daily operations of a trading team Responsible for strategic category assortment & development planning Manage relationships with key customers & suppliers As the Head of Trading, you will be at the forefront of our client's trading operations. You will be responsible for monitoring, leading, and executing the daily operations of the trading team. Your role will involve developing strategic category assortment and development planning for each channel, managing category purchase and sale planning with margin targets, coordinating promotion plans across categories to build traffic, negotiating with suppliers, working closely with Category Managers/Buyers on assortment/sale/supplier funding/margin targets, analysing sales performance, ensuring the efficiency of business operations, maintaining relationships with partners/vendors/Suppliers, managing relationships with key customers & Suppliers, preparing and reviewing monthly reports to Senior management. Monitor, lead and execute daily operation of trading team Develop strategic category assortment and development planning for each channel Manage category purchase and sale planning with margin target Coordinate promotion plans across categories to build traffic Negotiate with suppliers for category assortment/deal/performance review/promotion/marketing/POG Work closely with Category Managers/ Buyers on assortment/sale/supplier funding/margin target Analyse and action plan to improve sale performance Ensure the efficiency of business operations of Trading Team and set strategic goals for the future Maintain relationships with partners/vendors/ Suppliers and manage relationships with key customers & Suppliers Prepare and review monthly report to Senior management The ideal candidate for this Head of Trading role will bring a wealth of experience in the retail business, with a strong focus on trading. You will have a Bachelor’s degree or above and over 5 years in a similar position. Your strong communication and negotiation skills will be key to your success in this role, as well as your leadership, problem-solving skills and decision-making ability. You will also have good analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data effectively. Your planning and marketing knowledge will be essential, along with your proficiency in English and computer skills (Word, Excel/PowerPoint).
