Job Description : SERVICE MANAGER NIGERIA The Service Manager manages the service operations for Wirtgen Group equipment, which includes brands like Wirtgen, Vgele, Hamm, and Kleemann. This role is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining service efficiency, managing the service team, and supporting the sales team with technical expertise. The role plays a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting the company's overall business objectives. Service Operations Management: Oversee daily service operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Implement and maintain service policies and procedures. Coordinate with the parts department to ensure the availability of necessary parts for repairs and maintenance. Customer Support: Provide technical support to customers and address their service-related queries. Ensure timely and high-quality service delivery to meet customer satisfaction. Manage customer complaints and resolve issues promptly. Team Management: Supervise and support service technicians and other service staff. Conduct regular training and development programs for the service team. Evaluate the performance of the service team and provide feedback. Technical Expertise: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Wirtgen products and their technical specifications. Support the sales team with technical advice and product demonstrations. Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues. Service Marketing: Develop and implement strategies to promote service contracts and maintenance programs. Work with the marketing team to create service-related promotional materials. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on service operations, including metrics on performance and customer satisfaction. Analyze service data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the service department. Promote a culture of safety among the service team. Desired Skills and Qualifications: Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Wirtgen Group equipment, including Wirtgen, Vgele, Hamm, and Kleemann products. Ability to diagnose and repair complex technical issues. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software used for Wirtgen products. Management Skills: Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively. Customer Service Skills: Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve conflicts efficiently. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze service data and generate actionable insights. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience: Previous experience in a service management role, preferably in the heavy equipment or construction industry. Experience working with Wirtgen Group products is highly desirable. Education: A bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field is preferred. Additional certifications in service management or technical training from Wirtgen Group are a plus. Personal Attributes: Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
