Job Description : COMMERCIAL MANAGER SOUTH AFRICA ( OPEN TO EXPATS) a results-driven Commercial Manager with extensive experience in commercial B2B sales within the oil and gas sector Specifically, we are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years of experience trading Gasoil, Gasoline, HFO, and Paraffin in South Africa, focusing on the Northwest, Mpumalanga, and KZN regions. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of effectively managing commercial activities, negotiating contracts, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate with various stakeholders to optimize business opportunities and enhance our client’s market position. Key Responsibilities: 1. Sales Performance: - Meet and exceed assigned commercial B2B sales targets within the specified regions. - Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of potential customers and opportunities. - Adapt sales strategies to align with market trends and customer needs. 2. Supply Chain Management: - Implement effective supply solutions for customers using available resources. - Coordinate seamlessly between suppliers and customers to optimize the supply chain process. - Proactively identify and address any supply chain disruptions. 3. Relationship Management: - Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and customers. - Conduct regular reviews with stakeholders to address concerns and gather feedback. - Resolve issues that may impact relationships or transactions. 4. Transaction Tracking and Reporting: - Document all transactions in the region. - Ensure timely reporting of trades by collaborating with the middle/back office. - Provide detailed reports on transaction status and outcomes. 5. Risk Management: - Manage and report exposures on the portfolio in the region. - Monitor FX and commodity risk and implement mitigation strategies. - Ensure compliance with risk management policies and regulations. - Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus. - Minimum of 15 years of experience in commercial B2B sales within the oil and gas industry. - Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills. - Strategic thinking abilities and experience in developing growth strategies. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex information clearly. - Adaptability in a fast-paced environment and willingness to travel as needed. - Stay informed about industry best practices, technological advancements, and market trends. - Pursue opportunities for professional development to enhance relevant skills and knowledge. - Participate actively in industry events and networking opportunities.
