15 yearsJob Description : COMMERCIAL MANAGER TANZANIA highly-skilled Commercial Manager for our client, an emerging player in the oil and gas industry, specifically in Tanzania. This role requires an individual with a strong background in commercial B2B sales within the oil and gas sector, with expertise in trading Gasoil, Gasoline, or any other crude distillate such as HFO or Paraffin. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing commercial activities, negotiating contracts, and driving revenue growth. They should possess exceptional strategic thinking skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to optimize business opportunities and enhance our client's market position. - A Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certifications such as an MBA or CSCP would be a plus. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial B2B sales within the oil and gas industry, with a strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in an African context. - Experience in trading Gasoil, Gasoline, IP, HFO, Jet A1, or any other related products. - Proven ability to evaluate and implement supply solutions for customers, effectively utilizing available resources. - Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers. - Sound understanding of financial management, including transaction tracking, PnL management, and reporting exposures in the portfolio. - Experience in managing foreign exchange and commodity risk, with a keen awareness of market dynamics. - Proven ability to identify, assess, and manage risks associated with commercial transactions. - Proficiency in liaising with business control to ensure compliance and effective risk mitigation. - Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement growth strategies for the region.
