Job Description : GROUP FINANCE MANAGER AUCKLAND NEZ ZEALAND Role is open to International candidates This role offers the chance to lead a team of accountants, liaise with transactional shared service teams, and support the organisation through internal and external reporting obligations. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to drive best practices, develop their team, collaborate with business planning teams, and lead month-end processes. As a Group Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team of accountants while liaising with transactional shared service teams. You will be responsible for owning the group consolidation end-to-end, driving best practices that feed into our audit process. Your role will also involve developing your team through active coaching and review, focusing on balance sheet reconciliations and analytical review. Collaborating with our business planning team in understanding and presenting results to the broader business will be another key aspect of your role. Leading our month-end process to ensure accurate, relevant, and timely reporting will be crucial. You will manage the external audit processes, delegate workflows appropriately, motivate the team to stay on track, drive statutory reporting, banking covenants calculation, and reporting. As a key stakeholder, you will help drive improvements through a significant pipeline of committed finance transformation projects. Own the Group consolidation end-to-end and drive best practices that feed into our audit process. Develop your team through active coaching and review, focusing on balance sheet reconciliations and analytical review. Collaborate with our business planning team in understanding and presenting results to the broader business. Lead our month-end process to ensure accurate, relevant, and timely reporting. Manage the external audit processes, appropriately delegating workflows and motivating the team to stay on track. Drive statutory reporting, banking covenants calculation, and reporting. Be a key stakeholder and help to drive improvements through a significant pipeline of committed finance transformation projects. Produce or update accounting position papers and work to practically apply accounting standards. The ideal candidate for the Group Finance Manager role will bring a wealth of experience in managing consolidations and reconciliations within a group. You will have a proven capability to lead, inspire, and motivate a high-performing team. Your successful track record of leading an audit will be highly valued. Knowledge of IFRS, legislative, and other regulatory requirements is crucial for this role. A CA qualification is required. The successful candidate will have a positive approach, be willing to roll up their sleeves and work alongside the team when necessary. While finance experience within Manufacturing / FMCG is preferred, it's not essential. Experience managing consolidations and reconciliations within a Group (essential). Proven capability to lead, inspire and motivate a high performing team. Successful track record of leading an audit. Knowledge of IFRS, legislative and other regulatory requirements. CA qualification. Positive approach, happy to roll up your sleeves and work alongside the team where necessary. Finance experience within Manufacturing / FMCG is preferred (but not essential).
