Job Description : Vice President – Environment ,Health & Safety- Chemicals -Gujarat This is a Leadership Role with a Large Chemical Organisation. The Incumbent Should be Capable to Lead the Function at Corporate & Provide Strategic Direction & leadership for Company's Environmental .Health , Safety & Sustainability Initiatives. Responsibilities: Understand the Chemicals & Any Potential Safety & Environmental Hazards used/Present at all the Manufacturing Sites, take Steps to Mitigate Any Potential Safety & Environmental Health Hazards. Develop Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability Policies & Site-Specific Goals to Meet the Organization's Objectives & Targets to Maintain Environmental Sustainability Implementation & Improvement of Environment, Health & Safety Systems & initiatives in line with Corporate & local Requirements as Defined by law Create & Maintain Program Management Systems to Ensure that Company's Various Safety & Environmental Health Certifications, Accreditation, & Compliance efforts are Developed & Continuously Improved. Monitor & Report the Environment, Health & Safety indicators Provide Technical Expertise, Strategic leadership, & Support all of Company's various facilities, Departments, on Regulatory Compliance Issues in Safety & Environmental Health. Leading Projects like Building Awareness, Capability Building Amongst Employees to Create Visibility about Sustainability Lead Various Internal Organizational Teams/Committees that help Develop Company's Environmental & Safety Mission, Policies & Respective Goals/Objectives. Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability Awareness Creation through Employee Engagement Activities. Facilitate Regular Audits for Continual Improvement of the Systems Coordinating & helping the Implementation of Corporate Sustainability Initiatives Across all Sites. Implementation of Global EHS Requirements as well as local Regulations Compliance. Liaison with State & Central Regulatory Authorities Serve as a Representative of the Company & liaise with a Variety of External Entities including Central, State, & Local Agencies, Customers, Suppliers, Industry Related Groups The Candidate Should be a Chemical Engineer from a Reputed Institute with about 25 Years of Exp. in a Large Chemical .Petrochemicals & Refineries Additional Qualification in Environmental Science, Chemistry & Health, EH&S Management, Would be an Added Advantage.
