Job Description : VP ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE THAILAND FOR RETAIL This role is open to Indiana and Sri Lankans as company is Indian owned This role will set up and manage the Group’s Accounting system to ensure efficient work and reporting processes, while ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in compliance with relevant standards and regulations. This role involves conducting financial analysis, supporting budgeting and forecasting, managing day-to-day accounting functions, and maintaining effective internal controls. Responsibilities: Reporting to CFO to support in the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting, collaborating with department heads to align with business objectives. Assist in managing day-to-day accounting functions, including AP, AR, GL maintenance, and intercompany transactions, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records. Manage account closing, preparation of financial statements, and consolidated financial statements accurately and timely according to relevant accounting standards and local regulations Leading Accounting system implementation. Conduct financial analysis, including variance, trend, and profitability analysis, to support senior management decision-making. Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and prepare reports to facilitate budgetary control and decision-making. Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure statutory compliance, and support internal and external audits. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred. Experience in Accounting & Finance roles in corporate. Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements in Thailand. Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques, with advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
