Job Description : Expat Category Manager - Supply Chain-Procurement ???? Location: Mine Site (Sierra Leone) Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for supply chain management and willing to work on rotational basis? Join our team as a Category Manager, where you will manage specific product or service categories to maximize profitability and growth. Reporting to the Senior Procurement Superintendent, you will identify supply sources, procure operational equipment, and set up contracts, focusing on continuous vendor performance improvement and cost-effective procurement. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute category strategies. Negotiate with suppliers for optimal terms, pricing, and quality. Optimize product mix based on market trends and customer demand. Set pricing strategies and implement promotional campaigns. Forecast demand and manage inventory levels. Track and analyze performance metrics. Collaborate with internal teams to align strategies with business goals. Qualifications: Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field. 10+ years of experience in an industrial supply chain setting, preferably in mining. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred). Strong negotiation, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing environments. Work Environment: Physically and mentally fit for the mining environment. Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends.
