Job Description : MANUFACTURING AND SUPPLY CHAIN OPERATIONS HEAD SYDNEY AUSTRALIA a dynamic leader to Head up Manufacturing and Supply Chain Operations for the ANZ arm of a global player. You will be tasked with spearheading our clients’ operations across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring they stay at the forefront of the industry. In this pivotal role, you will develop and implement a robust operational strategy that aligns seamlessly with their global objectives. You will provide strategic guidance to our executive team, board of directors, and senior leaders, driving their competitive edge and profitability. Your ability to monitor and analyse performance metrics will be crucial in identifying opportunities for operational enhancements and resource optimisation, ensuring continuous improvement across all aspects of operations. Leadership is at the core of this position. You will inspire and guide a team of exceptional department heads, including those in Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality, and Safety. Your goal is to foster a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement. By supporting peoples career development, you will drive team success and ensure professional growth and operational expertise within your teams. The role will oversee and support the operations department heads across all national sites, you will be the linchpin that keeps all operations aligned and efficient. Your operational acumen will be key to overseeing the smooth functioning of all aspects the business. We are looking for someone who enjoys walking the floor and getting into the weeds from time to time. You will ensure consistency in operational processes, quality, and safety standards across all sites, working collaboratively with other departments and global teams to synchronise operations. Leading lean manufacturing initiatives and operational excellence projects, you will spearhead process improvements and cost reduction strategies. Risk management is another critical aspect of your role. We are looking for someone who will identify and mitigate operational risks, considering geopolitical, economic, and logistical factors. You will play a pivotal role in long-term planning, project reporting, and change management, staying ahead of industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive advantage. Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing organisational processes, workflows, and space utilisation will be part of your everyday responsibilities. You will also oversee financial stewardship, forecasting requirements, managing budgets, analysing variances, and implementing corrective actions to maintain our financial health.
