Job Description : BUSINESS HEAD GCC Business Head (Sales and Marketing) - GCC We are looking for a Seasoned Sales and Marketing professional with a minimum of 25 years of experience, of which the last 7-10 years should be in handling the GCC region, especially the UAE. Handling PnL management for a couple of years shall be an added advantage. Department - International Marketing Division Location - Dubai Reports to CEO & Director Reported by Team of Sales and Brand Managers ROLE OBJECTIVE: As a Head of GCC Market, the key role objectives would be as follows: - Key role would be to strategise for aggressive and profitable growth of the FMCG business in the GCC countries. - He will be responsible for conceptualizing and implementing Brand Marketing & Sales strategies for the FMCG brands in GCC countries. - Takes overall responsibility for close monitoring and achievement of budgeted targets for Sales and Profits in the GCC markets through the deployed strategies. - Implement Marketing and Brand Management strategies which will lead to higher Brand Strength in all its measurable parameters like Market shares, brand Awareness and Brand Saliency scores. - Build and manage a team of Professional managers to ensure delivery of rapid growth and current business plans in the region. - Evaluate opportunities for acquisition of Brands and FMCG businesses in the region. - Evaluate the possibilities of Geographical expansion of the business in the region. - Being the senior most representative of the company , play the role of the Ambassador for Emami in the region. RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic: - Develop a strong understanding of the consumer, consumer habits and capture consumer insights and practices with a view to effectively using this data in product development , communication development etc. - Research and analyze economic trends, buying habits and the demographic characteristics of consumers, their tastes, preferences for company products and those of competitors. - Develop a strong understand of the categories in which we operate in the markets of GCC countries and identify suitable business opportunities in these various categories mainly Skin Care and Hair care . - Analyze, evaluate, plan and execute on both existing and potential marketing activities and strategies. Develop benchmark criteria to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing programs. - Measure the effectiveness of the marketing department and implement improvements as required. - Develop unique value propositions, business partnership, and category management as well as call to action oriented advertising targeted towards key customer segments that increases brand awareness. - Exploring new countries for business opportunities as and when identified and decided upon. Operational: - Oversee a team of Sales Mangers with the objective of conceptualizing strategies and executing plans for all Sales channels like Pharma channel, Cosmetics channel, Modern Trade channel and Open market sales which should deliver on agreed distribution reach and other distribution function parameters. - Oversee a team of Brand Activation/Trade Marketing/Communication managers with the objective of ensuring conceptualizing and executing key on-ground strategic and tactical initiatives which deliver on agreed sales performance and brand health within the assigned and agreed budgets . - Coordinate with central Brand innovation teams on innovation strategies and deliveries. All marketing activities to be coordinated in tandem with Chief Marketing Officer. - Manage effectively all the business relationships in the region with key partners like Distributors , Sub distributors , ad agencies , market research agencies , other suppliers of services etc. - Ensure monthly Reporting of Performance in all its aspects to Head office on a monthly basis. Develop and prepare key messaging and presentation material for Senior Management as and when required. - Ensure compliance on all regulations, licensing requirements, product quality requirements and ensure all other legal and statutory norms are adhered to as per local rules and procedures. Financial: - Oversees staff in developing annual budgets that support operating plans and submits budget for board approval, prudently manages the organization's resources within budget guidelines according to current laws and regulations. - Ensure that staff practices all appropriate accounting procedures in compliance with General Accounting Principle. Provides prompt, thorough and accurate information to keep the management appropriate information of the organization's financial position. - Develops Annual plan and budgeting, monitoring the expenditure. People: - Coach, mentor and raise the team's ability to deliver and exceed expectations while creating opportunities for succession plan. - Recruitment, manages and separation of the human resource of the organization according to authorized personnel policies and procedures that fully conform to current laws and regulations. - Oversees the operations of organization and manages its compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Employee development & Training. PMS and improve system. Employee relation. Employment and compliance. Ensuring overall consistency in policies with changes for country specific clauses and implementation. - Maintain strong working relationships and communications with the Supply Center, Inventory Management: monitor inventory parameters, measure related KPI's. Coordinate inventory planning and replenishment of raw materials, components, and finished goods in conjunction with Supply Team. - Marketing & PR-Manage audit opportunities and theatre program, press and venture, Organize the availability of company member for media/PR events as necessary, Oversee content, production and distribution of all market and publicity materials. Coordinate the invitation of potential future promoters and supporters of the company. Key Internal Interfaces Key External Interfaces: - Director/CEO : For all major strategic and policy level decisions - All Departments: For all shared resource requirements and related issues. - Operations: For coordinating domestic operations with international requirements to ensure supply chain efficiencies. Statutory Bodies in various countries : - For Licensing, approvals and various other regulations. JOB REQUIREMENT: Education Desired Experience: - Graduate with Post Graduate Diploma in Management/ MBA from premier Institutes in India or abroad. Work experience comprising of a judicious mix of Line Sales and Marketing /Brand Management/ Category Management with most recent experience in Marketing in FMCG environment at Senior Management Level. A reasonable part of the sales experience should be from GCC. - It would be desirable if the candidate has some experience of managing a P & L for a few years.
