Job Description : HEAD OF IT MALAYSIA This role is pivotal in managing the overall architecture of IT solutions, ensuring robust and scalable IT Architecture that caters for growth, new business opportunities and service innovation. The successful candidate will have a hands-on role in managing the overall performance and health of the system, including MSSQL database, LS application and AWS cloud infrastructure. * Lead the IT strategy and projects aligning with company's business goals * Develop, update and enforce IT and cybersecurity policies and standards * Manage and optimise the AWS VM for optimal LS performance As Head of Information Technology, you will be responsible for managing the overall performance and health of the system. This includes MSSQL database, LS application, AWS cloud infrastructure. You will contribute to aligning IT strategy with business goals while promoting shared infrastructure to reduce costs. Your role will involve developing cybersecurity policies, maintaining knowledge of industry best practices, leading an integrated group of IT planners, building a solution-focused culture within your team, and fostering personal growth among department members. Contribute to the alignment of IT strategy and planning with the Company’s business goals Promote the development and use of shared infrastructure and applications to reduce costs Ensure all initiatives and projects for the company are completed in a timely manner Develop, update and enforce cybersecurity incident response playbooks, DRP (disaster recovery plan) and BCP (business continuity plan) Maintain in-depth knowledge of IT industry best practices, technologies, architectures and emerging technologies Lead an integrated group of Information Technology Planners and Delivery team in delivering all requirements to support the company’s growth Build a strong solution-focused analysis culture within and beyond the team Actively grow the abilities and skills of the department members through formal training programs, mentorship and hands-on learning As an ideal candidate for our Head of Information Technology position, you bring a wealth of experience in planning, strategic planning and related communications. You have at least 5 years' experience managing MS D365BC or LS Retail systems. Your proven track record as a Head of IT or similar managerial role speaks volumes about your leadership capabilities. Your excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure, combined with your experience in leading IT Architecture functions and managing IT projects, makes you a strong contender for this role. Your comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, applications, and systems engineering will be crucial in this position. Minimum 15+ years’ experience in planning, strategic planning and related communications experience Famimliar with POS systems such as MS D365BC or LS Retail systems Proven experience as a Head of IT or similar managerial role Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure Experience in leading IT Architecture functions Extensive experience in IT projects, leading analysis, design, implementation of system integration solutions Knowledge of hardware, software, application, systems engineering
