Tax Manager

Job Description : Manager – Taxation Department: Taxation Grade/Level: M0 / M1 Reporting to: General Manager – International Taxation Location: Nigeria Key Activities & Responsibilities: Responsible for handling tax matters related to Nigeria Education: Chartered Accountant 4-6 years of post-qualification experience in taxation (preferably in international taxation) with a specific focus on Nigerian taxation Experience: Should have decent academic knowledge of income tax and GST Should possess technology skills like advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Willing to work in a high-pressure environment and ready to travel abroad for work whenever required Should have a valid Indian Passport Good verbal and written communication skills Stakeholder management Compassion to work hard A sincere and meticulous person SAP knowledge will be an added advantage Required Skills and Capabilities: Bringing efficiency in bid proposals by deep diving into facts and taking appropriate stances in coordination with the Management Participate, guide, and support business development teams to strategically leverage the taxation angle and create a competitive edge/winning bid proposal Manage quarterly books of overseas branches and subsidiaries without major hiccups Prepare various tax analyses, tax accounting notes, cash flows, etc. Handle end-to-end tax compliances of branches and Group entities, including preparation/review of tax workings, finalizing tax liabilities for tax provisions, advance tax, and returns, foreign tax credits eligibility, etc. Compile financial data from SAP and prepare various MIS reports for circulation Work closely with the business/operations team to handle overseas tax assessments Work on Indian tax compliances like tax audits, transfer pricing audits, tax assessments Work with internal stakeholders on tax matters and maintain healthy relationships Handle various foreign remittances to adhere to tax compliances on a real-time basis Set up various inter-departmental SOPs for overseas tax compliance
