Maintenance Manager

Job Description : Hiring for a Plastics Blow Moulding manufacturing company in Nigeria, producing pharmaceutical bottles, Cosmetic bottles, Jerrycans and Drums through Jagmohan, Bester, Uniloy, Tongda, CMP & IBM machines. Position- Maintenance Manager Experience & Qualification - 10-15 years’ experience in plastic plants is a must. Prefer personnel with Nigerian experience. Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Reporting relationship - Reports to General Manager, He needs to supervise the local Nigerian staff team of over 30 including regular and contract staff deployed in the workshop. Role and Responsibilities- • To ensure effective and smooth coordination of operations & Maintenance teams and provide repair & maintenance of machinery & moulds. • Responsible for the overall management Maintenance function for all the Machines, measuring instruments and equipment. • Follow-up and supervision must be done to ensure that machineries and moulds are maintained on time. • Keep up the Machine with minimum unplanned down time. • Manage local staff deployed under him Required Technical skills and experience- • Good knowledge of blow moulding machine maintenance like electrical, electronic, and Hydraulic. He must handle the maintenance of machines independently. • To schedule preventive maintenance of various machines to maintain the health of the machines or minimize breakdown time. • Installation, Commissioning & Maintenance of Blow molding machines, Electric Panels, auxiliary equipment, Air compressors, Water chillers & Cooling towers. • Generating reports of daily checkpoints of the machines, Machine health checkups, daily breakdown hours, Energy reports, and Weekly and Monthly Maintenance Reports. • Executing cost-saving and energy-saving techniques/ measures and modifications to achieve substantial reduction in O&M expenditures. • Monitoring of spare parts In and Out. Ensure that all parts are inventoried properly. • Strive to ensure the efficiency of the plant by optimizing the utilization of power for respective machines and suggesting required for improving productivity in terms of cycle time, manpower reduction, speed, energy saving, and continual improvement. • Responsible for handling machine breakdowns and resolving them within a prompt time. • Responsible for the preparation of maintenance budget on a monthly & yearly basis.
