Finance Director

Job Description : FINANCE DIRECTOR PORTUGAL a multinational company in the renewable energy sector, that is looking for a Finance Transformation Director, for its offices in Lisbon. This Finance Transformation Director will report to the CFO and will be responsible for the oversight and operational management of the group accounting platform and other business system interfaces. This role involves ensuring the seamless integration and performance of the outsourced accounting services, as well as the deployment and management of accounting-related software. The role will include, but not limited to, the following responsibilities: - Seamless integration of the accounting platform, - Coordinate with internal (located in Australia, UK, Europe) and external (located in India and Europe) teams to ensure smooth operation and integration of accounting processes, - Serves as the primary point of contact for the outsourced accounting provider, - Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of accounting-related software such as Purchase to Pay, closing management and reconciliation workflows, business intelligence etc…, - Evaluate and recommend new software solutions to enhance accounting operations, - Train and support staff in the use of accounting software and tools, - Technology watch of the software landscape and best practices for modern finance, - Data management for the finance function, organize data flows to and from the finance team. We are looking for someone fluent in English, with 10+ years of experience in accounting and at least 3 years in a leadership role, with proven experience in managing outsourced accounting services and accounting software systems and who participated in financial transformation endeavours.
