Global Supply Chain Head

Job Description : Global Supply Chain Head Reporting to Head Technical - International Location DMCC Role of the position : The position has accountability for the Supply Chain Management of company operations in Africa units. Role description - The Supply Chain Head will take a leadership role in executing effective and efficient procurement and supply chain services ensuring values and competencies in maintaining transparency. - Support in managing the entire process in the planning of procurement and supply chain activities, inventory control: both raw and packing materials as well as finished goods, logistics and distribution, ensuring effectively-functioning processes to avoid costly delays and lost opportunities. - Managing supply chain expenses and preparation of utilisation reports for measuring efficiency. - Ensure that the procurement team to ensure priority requirements, timely delivery of goods, works and services using the prevailing procurement process of Company. - Be responsible for introducing process improvements in the supply chain. - Manage and monitor all transactional procurement including comparative price analysis, evaluation, contracting, contract management, legal considerations and payment conditions, contractors, performance evaluation and risk assessment - Implement strategic procurement including sourcing strategy, supplier selection and evaluation, quality management, customer relationship management and performance measurement - Ensure timely preparation of procurement plans for projects and monitor their implementation. - Analysing supply chain data and performance. - Develop and manage the rosters of suppliers, elaborate supplier selection and evaluation, quality and performance measurement mechanisms in coordination with HO. - Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual procurement plans and progress reports as required - Promote a zero-tolerance for violations of procurement policies and procedures. Desired Candidate Details: - Qualification Post Graduate Diploma (specialisation in Supply Chain) Skills desired: - An analytical mind - Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships - Commercial and business acumen - Good communication skills - both written and verbal - A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data - Ability to stick to time constraints - Must have proven ability to be flexible, multi-task and drive key projects in a fast paced, high demand environment - Good knowledge of SAP and MS Excel Experience: - Graduate with more than 15 years of experience in Factory location encompassing procurement, management of stores and shipping operation - 8 plus years in FMCG companies - Reporting Matrix Reporting Head Technical : International and Executive Director Subordinates: 5 - 7 managers Industry Preference Beverage/Food/FMCG : Manufacturing
