Chief Financial Officer

Job Description : FO NIGERIA FOR IRON AND STEEL The CFO will oversee the financial, accounting, audit, taxation, legal and other related matters of the client company who are in to the manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities: Financial Oversight: Prudent monitoring of financial parameters and suggest corrective actions Prepare timely monthly management and statutory accounts. Liaise with auditors for yearly statutory accounts and returns. Strategic Coordination: Work with the sales team to ensure profit margins meet business plans. Conduct regular reviews with the manufacturing/operations team. Analyze budget variances and implement corrective measures. Compliance and Efficiency: Ensure statutory compliance across all business areas. Implement cost-cutting measures and efficiency improvement initiatives. Oversee treasury functions, including managing credit facilities. Data Management: Prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly MIS reports. Analyze financial information to highlight unusual trends. Collaborate with internal auditors for timely audit compliance. Monitor credit control functions. Analyze costs, pricing, and company performance against business plans. Coordinate with various departments to discuss and plan future strategies. Experience and Qualifications: A qualified Chartered Accountant with experience of over 18 years, majority of which should be in manufacturing set-up. Current OR prior experience in working in Nigeria is must. Last 5-10 years of experience should be at leadership level.
