Project Manager

Job Description : PROJECT MANAGER SRI LANKA Desired Architectural Expertise: PMO Location: Colombo, Srilanka Major Experience Area: Experience in handling large Projects/Program for Enterprise & Service provider Customers, Good communication and strong understanding of PMO Methodologies. Job Responsibilities: · Manages medium to large customer facing projects with Service Providers and Enterprise Customers · Creation of a project schedule and plan with financial, resource and material requirements. · Participates in the preparation of proposals and agreements. · Experience in leading complex projects and managing multiple teams including partners · Oversees project staff including project engineers, vendors, partners and subcontractors. · Manages the project from start to completion including the resolution of project issues. · Presents service business value to customers for new or existing business · Manage internal projects/programs within Cisco · Manage ongoing optimisation service to deployed customer network · Identifying risks and deploying risk avoidance strategies and mitigation actions as appropriate · Manages the exceptions, issues, conflicts and problems on a day-to-day basis · Hands -on experience on Microsoft MPP, Excel & Power point · Strong understanding on managing the Project Financials and Cost & Revenue Forecasting Experience: · Project Management experience in the deployment of leading-edge technologies in a complex commercial environment. · Has completed significant part of formal Project Management training program · Has leadership skills and experience working with large project teams and strategic account teams. · Has a working knowledge of the sales process including risk assessment and scoping · Has a good understanding of the legal issues with contracts · Has advanced negotiation and presentation skills · Excellent written and verbal communications skills. · Communication skills to include conflict management, negotiation, presentation/demonstration, and written communication-cultural sensitivity, goal alignment, learning agility, and virtual/remote training. · Understands the organisation, aims and processes · Project plan and schedule creation. · Service level contracts · Ability to balance multiple large and critical tasks. · Major account experience, Partner services delivery model experience. · Ability to work independently in remote customer sites. · Service solutions sales skills. · Ability when required to control multiple project managers in the delivery cycle · Familiar with the organisation goals, vision and processes. Qualification and Certification Requirements: · Typically requires Engineering degree or equivalent plus 10 years related experience in networking / telecommunications industry as PM. · PMP, Prince2, etc., Certification Preferred. · Hardworking, persuasive, charismatic leader with vision capable of quickly establishing executive interest in how to architect, deploy and operate the virtualized data center of the future.
