Job Description : FC UGANDA Industry: Trading Benefits: Attractive salary and comprehensive expat benefits package Key Responsibilities: - Budgeting/Financial Forecasting: Work alongside the CEO and senior management to develop a financial forecasting model. Create 1-year and 3-year budgets to guide fundraising and expense management. Prepare financial reports and analyses for management meetings. Strengthening Financial Infrastructure: Conduct a Gaps Assessment and streamline processes to boost efficiency. Implement recommendations to meet monthly investor reporting deadlines. Business as Usual (BAU) Work: - Overseeing Finance Operations: Supervise monthly accounting activities and financial statement preparation. Manage financial systems, policies, controls, and external vendors. Produce MIS reports and maintain financial/cash forecasts. Manage intercompany relationships and reconcile accounts monthly. Ensure compliance with tax regulations in Uganda. Analyze reports to improve revenue, cost control, and profitability. Set targets and conduct performance evaluations for the sales team. - Investor Reporting: Submit accurate and timely investor reports monthly. - Policy Writing & Enforcement: Identify gaps and create policies to bridge them, ensuring stakeholder alignment and control enforcement. - Audit Preparation & Successful Completion: Conduct internal audits and oversee financial audits, implementing post-audit recommendations. - Ad-Hoc Requests: Respond to any finance-related requests from management. - Growth: Identify new revenue opportunities and implement growth strategies. - Valuation: Evaluate raw materials and goods, and prepare monthly reports on purchases and usage. Requirements: Minimum 12 years of accounting experience within a multinational business or top-tier accounting firm. Mastery of IFRS accounting standards. Proficient in MS Office. Collaborative work style. Strong knowledge of internal controls and financial reporting. CPA, CA, or ACCA qualification. Strong leadership abilities and a proactive attitude.
