Job Description : PRODUCTION AND MAINTENANCE MANAGER BAHRAIN Management of Production Activities: Oversee all production/manufacturing activities and personnel. Ensure efficient use of machinery and resources. Personnel Management: Manage absenteeism, sickness, and holidays in coordination with HR. Participate in employee selection, promotion, and redundancy decisions. Train new staff and support ongoing staff development. Operational Efficiency: Optimize machine utilization and reduce tool changeover times. Ensure adherence to documentation and quality control requirements. Support compliance with ISO standards (9001, 45001, 14001) and FSSC. EHS and Safety: Lead Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs. Maintain good housekeeping standards and enforce PPE requirements. Communication and Coordination: Provide production supervisors with necessary information to achieve targets. Liaise with shift supervisors to ensure consistency across shifts. Hold regular meetings with supervisors to discuss issues and share information. Discipline and Training: Assist in maintaining discipline and issue warnings as necessary. Advise on training needs for production personnel. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and send monthly production data reports. Carry out additional duties as needed to ensure smooth plant operations. Maintenance Main Duties: Engineering Department Oversight: Ensure the engineering department supports maximum plant and equipment usage. Notify management of major equipment issues. Maintenance Coordination: Work with the Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate electrical and mechanical maintenance. Ensure maintenance jobs are prioritized and report any deviations. Communication and Reporting: Liaise with shift supervisors to keep all shifts informed of changes. Produce reports on equipment faults, breakdowns, and repairs, and analyze findings for improvements. Employee Monitoring and Regulations: Monitor employee performance and adherence to engineering regulations. Liaise with machinery suppliers for updates and improvements. Procedural Adherence: Ensure departmental procedures and equipment parameters are followed and report deviations. Requirements: Experience and Skills: Minimum of 12 years related work experience. Ability to lead a team and contribute to strategic goals. Experience with de-coupled injection molding and structured process development. Certifications: Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or ASQ CQE certification preferred. Technical Knowledge: Experience in plastics injection-mold fabrication processes and design. Capability in supporting validation, method definition, root cause analysis, gage R&R, and measurement systems analysis. Software Proficiency: Proficiency with ERP systems, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Flexibility and Initiative: High level of initiative and flexibility in a dynamic work environment. Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to changing needs. REQUIREMENTS: ? A minimum of 12 years of related work experience. ? The ability to lead a team toward operational objectives with attitude to contribute to strategic goal-setting for department/business unit (Required). ? A Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or ASQ CQE certification (Preferred). ? Experience and understanding of de-coupled injection molding and structured process development (Required). ? Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with little to no supervision while supporting the Design Engineering and Manufacturing business units (Required). ? Must be capable of supporting validation definition, method definition, root cause analysis, gage R&R, and measurement systems analysis (Required). ? Experience and understanding of the design for plastics injection-mold fabrication processes (Preferred). ? Experience and understanding of the development and design of plastic parts, insert molded parts, and assemblies (Preferred). ? The ability to conduct design review(s) of hot/cold runner injection molds (Preferred) ? High level of initiative and flexibility in adapting to changing needs of a dynamic work. ? Proficiency with Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
