Job Description : TECHNCIAL DIRECTOR CEMENT PLANT DUBAI 20-25 years experience Candidates having experience in Cement Manufacturing Industry is mandatory. Role Overview: ROLE : Technical Director, Company Name : For a leading Cement Plant Engineering MNC. (German Based) Location : Dubai Role & Responsibility: - Leading the Technical function for Operation and Maintenance and its subsidiaries - Managing the global operation and maintenance of various grinding terminals and cement plants worldwide - Responsible for the coordination and definition of technical and plant performance-related strategies and standards - Implementing defined strategies and objectives - Controlling and guiding the daily work - Ensuring well-organised communication of decisions and current developments - Determining technical key performance indicators and targets for the individual plants - Developing and implementing standardized reporting functions, work instructions for optimising the process chains - Carrying out annual performance reviews of employees - Ensuring a successful and efficient operation of customers’ plants - Responsible for the continuous increase of plants’ productivity and profitability - Definition of annual plant performance review processes - Achieving safety, productivity and cost related agreed targets for the overall plants’ performance - Controlling the individual plants’ performance and outcome - Leading and overseeing all activities to ensure high standards on plants - Review of cost reports to locate excessive expenses and decision making of necessary corrective actions - Ensuring a high-end operation and maintenance of plants - Responsible for technical audits and their conclusions - Reviewing spare parts requests and their specifications - Solving all technical requests from customers and plant managers - Preparation of short and long range development plans - Assurance of an environmental compliance and clean plant operations - Close international cooperation with the matrix organizations - Continuous reporting to the Executive Board - Comply with all relevant company and statutory environmental, health and safety procedures and guidelines Requirements: - University degree in process or mechanical engineering - Several years’ experience in the cement industry as Plant Manager or Technical Director - Profound experience in leading and guiding Managers at several locations world wide - Sound knowledge of the cement production process including cement chemistry and cement microscopy - Strong knowledge of modern maintenance technologies and methods - Outstanding knowledge of plant process optimizations - Very good understanding of safety and environmental regulations - Strategic, organisation and planning skills - Confident manner in dealing with customers and plant staff - Profound knowledge in financial controlling and contract management - Sound communication skills, an outstanding ability to work in a team and a confident manner - Very good MS-Office and SAP knowledge - Business-fluent spoken and written English - Further languages skills would be an advantage - Willingness to travel to various locations
