Accounts Head

Job Description : ACCOUNTS HEAD NIGERIA A Petrochemical and Fertilizer Company in Nigeria is looking for Head Accounts with 18-22 yrs of experience in manufacturing Industry. Should be a CA Job Purpose Leading accounts & finance functions including maintenance & finalization of accounts, and building of internal financial controls. Acting as central point of control for the Business Unit and accounting system for the safeguarding of the Business Units assets and ensuring expenditure is within budget and that variances are reported on a timely basis. Competent in streamlining the working procedures and formulating cost-effective solutions for enhancing the accounting and financial operations. Core Responsibilities Involve in preparation of Standalone & Consolidated Financial Statements in functional & presentation currency as per IFRS. Support the Corporate office in the Group consolidation and other financial reporting. Preparation of Monthly accounts, MIS and Cash Flow Projections. Responsible for Revenue recognition (AR) and valuation of Inventories (Raw Material, WIP, Finished Goods). Verification of supplier invoice and timely payments as per PO/WO terms (AP). Manage the Tax compliance (deduction, payment & returns) for Income Tax, VAT and WHT. Lead the Vendor and Customer reconciliation. Involve in preparation of Annual Budget and 10 Years Business Plan for Petrochemical and Fertilizer Business. Monitor the physical verification of Inventories & Finished Goods. Involve in maintaining Fixed Asset Register. Monitor the Accounting of Derivative and Hedging transactions as per IFRS. Coordination of Annual/Quarterly Audits and Reviews with Big 4 Auditors. Calculation of Dividend pay out to Shareholders. Implementation of process improvements and atomization of financial and accounting functions. Leading the Accounts team with focus on development of people, staff engagement and performance Educational Qualification: Chartered Accountant Experience: 18-22 yrs. exp in a large manufacturing company
