Job Description : CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER NIGERIA The Chief IT Officer (CTO) is responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of the business, driving technological innovation, and making sure that the company's IT strategy support its commercial goals. A seasoned leader with specific expertise in fiber optic networks, data centers, cloud computing, satellite communications, and spectrum management is needed for this position. Our CTO will be in charge of our technology operations, spearhead development projects, and provide strategic guidance for all things tech. Technology Strategy and Vision: • Develop and implement the organization's strategic plan and vision for technology. Oversee the advancement of the company's offerings in terms of technology. • Verify that the company's technology resources are in line with its short- and long-term goals. In charge and supervision: • Lead, mentor, and oversee the technology team, which consists of developers, engineers, and IT staff. • Foster a culture of innovation, quality, and ongoing improvement in the technology division. • Assure effective departmental coordination and communication. Project Management: • Oversee all facets of system architecture improvements and design. • Oversee technological projects, making that they are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the necessary quality standards. • Organize technological operations to ensure minimal downtime for network services and data availability. Innovation and Progress: • Take the lead in developing new technologies and refining those that already exist. • Evaluate and choose the best technology platforms (such as deployment stacks and web application frameworks) to supply the products and services of the business. Competence in Important Technological Areas: • Oversee the construction and maintenance of fiber optic networks to guarantee dependable and fast connectivity. • Oversee data center operations to provide optimum scalability, security, and performance. • Create and put into action cloud infrastructure plans to support the operations and services of the business. • Manage satellite communications to ensure effective and seamless connectivity. • Manage spectrum resources, making sure that the best possible use and compliance with legal standards are followed. Security and Regulatory Compliance: Supervise IT security audits, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance. Protect the security of firm data and IT systems. • Create and keep backup and disaster recovery plans. Relations with Stakeholders: • Offer top management and other stakeholders of the organization technology consulting services. • Create and maintain strategic connections with partners, customers, and vendors, among other important stakeholders. Requirements: • A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field. An MBA or master's degree is preferred. • At least ten years of experience leading technology in a senior capacity. • Proven track of leading large-scale initiatives and managing technical teams. • Thorough understanding of data centers, cloud infrastructure, satellite communications, fiber optic networks, and spectrum management. • A thorough awareness of both established and developing technology, as well as how other businesses use them. • Outstanding communication, organizational, and leadership skills. • A good business acumen combined with a strategic approach. • Prior experience in the security or telecommunications sectors is advantageous.
