Job Description : HEAD OF RISK AND COMPLIANCE AUCKLAND NEW ZEALAND An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Risk & Compliance to join the expanding legal, risk & compliance team of a leading Global Professional Services firm. This dynamic role offers the chance for an experienced Risk & Compliance professional to work across two of their regulated financial services businesses and provide leadership and strategic advice on risk and compliance. As the Head of Risk & Compliance, you will lead a team of 3 and have matrix reporting into the New Zealand General Counsel and Australia. Your responsibilities will include: - Supporting & developing the team - Partnering with key stakeholders to provide leadership and strategic advice on risk & compliance - Establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders within the Pacific team to strike the right balance between support and autonomy for the NZ businesses - Leading risk and control assessments, monitoring business risk profiles and high-risk projects, and overseeing issue management and remediation. - Providing expert input into risk frameworks - Delivering training and guidance - Promoting continuous improvement - Participate in local and global initiatives requiring risk and compliance input - Preparing concise reporting for business leadership and boards and committees - Maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors and regulators to ensure compliance This company prides itself on its commitment to growth and innovation. The candidate must have: - 15+ years’ experience working in a senior risk or compliance role - Experience working in or providing services to a regulated financial services business - Ability to lead and create highly successful teams - Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced changing environment - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work with senior stakeholders and present at board level
