Strategic Sourcing Director

Job Description : DIRECTOR STRATEGIC SOURCING KSA looking to engage with professionals in the procurement arena (direct & indirect) with experience in agro commodities. Your ideal career graph should have not only covered procurement roles in large operating business but should have had a stint of at least 3-4 years in working on building capability and productivity agenda in the procurement arena. Developed/garnered and implemented Best Practices in the procurement arena. Ability to carry people and influence mindsets is essential. Should have worked in an organization which went through a transformation from the traditional to the virtual. Ability to set the strategic sourcing plan across a wide geography, implement the plan and have hands-on experience in procurement IT tools. Promote knowledge sharing through the organization's business processes and systems by strengthening links between units; improving integration among information systems across the organization to facilitate a seamless exchange of information and ideas. Identify and promote collaborative tools that facilitate the sharing of information and best practice procurement concepts, across units in the region/ sector, and the wider procurement network. Ensuring all relevant procurement information (i.e. contracts database, supplier scorecards, category strategies) are shared effectively across the procurement network. Continuously monitors, evaluates and improves the knowledge sharing process, including benchmarking and evaluation of external knowledge sharing processes. Ensure consistent implementation and governance of core strategic sourcing by all procurement teams across the MEA region. Responsible for identifying and successfully implementing all relevant procurement technologies that enable the procurement organization to deliver effectively. Ensures that the IT systems in the sector/ region provide spend transparency, compliance management information and supplier Performance data that inform and drive the effective management of the function. Define the definition of supplier performance criteria. Must Have: 15+ years of procurement experience both direct and indirect. At least 5+ years should have been spent on agro commodities. You must have above average IT skills and a passion for technology. Candidates, please note that experience in agro commodities is essential.
