Retail Operations Head

Job Description : HEAD OF RETAIL OPERATIONS DUBAI Reports To: General Manager Job Summary: The Head of Retail Operations is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the retail operations of our discount retail chain. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in retail operations, discount retail management and omnichannel strategies for local shops. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, enhance customer experience, and maximize profitability across all retail channels. Develop and implement retail operational strategies to achieve business goals and maximize profitability. Oversee daily operations of all retail stores, ensuring efficient and effective performance. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvement plans as needed. Discount Retail Management: Lead the discount retail operations, ensuring competitive pricing, product assortment, and merchandising strategies. Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize shrinkage. Analyse market trends and customer feedback to drive sales growth and enhance the shopping experience. Omnichannel Strategy: Develop and execute an omnichannel strategy to integrate online and offline retail channels seamlessly. Enhance customer engagement and satisfaction through consistent and personalized experiences across all touchpoints. Implement and manage e-commerce platforms, mobile applications, and in-store technologies. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing retail operations team. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting professional growth and development. Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and evaluations. Financial Management: Prepare and manage the retail operations budget, ensuring cost control and efficient resource allocation. Analyse financial reports and provide insights and recommendations to senior management. Drive profitability through effective cost management, pricing strategies, and revenue optimization. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all retail stores. Monitor and improve safety, security, and cleanliness standards in all retail locations. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Proven experience (20+ years) in retail operations, with a strong background in discount retail. Demonstrated success in developing and executing omnichannel strategies. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in retail management software and e-commerce platforms. Knowledge of SEA markets & local networks highly preferred
