Production Head

Job Description : PRODUCTION HEAD EAST AFRICA Develop annual business plans, operation strategies, and planning initiatives. Plan and direct processing operations to meet production goals and targets within established budgets. Manage autonomous production unit managers and support function managers (HR, Quality, Finance, Commercial, Maintenance & EHS). Prepare schedules, operating plans, and maintain production and inventory reports efficiently. Responsible for formulating and meeting annual budgets and defining of risk and contingency plans to overcome any deviation from set targets. Drive Plant Quality, Cost, and Delivery & People performance. Manage health, safety, and environmental areas to ensure that the plant facilities operate in compliance with regulations at all levels. Oversee and direct all plant reports, equipment documentation and audit tasks in order to provide accessible information where required. Implement preventative maintenance schedules for all plant equipment and report on its operation over time. Organize and oversee employee training and development in operation, safety, and maintenance functions. Maintain awareness of team needs, appraising at regular intervals, identifying direction and generating realistic training and objectives through discussion in order to conserve time and resources. Requirements: Should be ideally from Match industry background and able to run large operations. Minimum 10 years (match industry) or 15 years (similar FMCG production) experience. Proficient in analytical skills and data-driven decision-making. Proven expertise in managing resources, from raw materials to personnel, with a focus on long-term planning (6-12months) and efficient cost management. IT capabilities in data analysis and people management. Qualification: Ideally with Chemistry/Mechanical Engineering background. Experience with Quality systems like Gemba Kaizen, TQM, Six Sigma, ISO.
