Job Description : Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Industry: Transport Location: East Africa Key Responsibilities: - As the CFO of a leading transport company, you will drive the financial strategy to support the company's long-term objectives, ensuring alignment with business goals. - You will be responsible for overseeing group financial and management accounting, financial reporting, and business planning. - Your role will involve managing treasury operations, securing financing, and providing insightful financial reports to the board of directors. In addition, you will lead capital projects, project finance initiatives, and structured finance operations, ensuring financial stability and growth. - You will also be responsible for identifying and mitigating key financial risks, maintaining board compliance, and implementing performance monitoring systems that align with the company's strategic direction. - In this critical role, you will oversee fundraising activities, manage capital allocation, and handle mergers and acquisitions (M&A) opportunities to expand the business. - As a member of the executive management team, you will collaborate on key decisions that impact the company's financial health and operational strategies. - You will also establish and maintain relationships with external auditors, implement their recommendations, and ensure smooth financial operations through effective transaction processing and accounting systems. Additionally, you will monitor cash balances and forecasts to ensure the company's financial liquidity and effective resource management. - At least 10 years of experience in financial leadership roles, with specific experience in the transport sector. East Africa Experience: - Proven working experience in East Africa is a mandatory requirement.
