Job Description : FINANCE DIRECTOR DUBLIN IRELAND Role is open to International candidates a rapidly growing organisation in the health care sector and currently operate multiple facilities across Ireland, employing approximately 1,000 staff. They are seeking a results-driven Finance Director to lead their finance team, enhance financial performance, and oversee their accounting operations. In this senior role, you will work closely with the Senior Financial Controller and other key members of the finance team. This position includes full responsibility for accurate and timely financial reporting, leading an efficient monthly closing process, and managing budgeting and long-term planning efforts. You will develop financial models, manage budgets, and prepare reports and summaries that support strategic decision-making. Additionally, the role requires fostering strong relationships with the executive team, while promoting a business-partnering mindset within the finance team. This must be balanced with strong governance, control, and open communication. The primary focus of the Finance Director is to provide strategic financial leadership and management of the Finance function, supporting the organisation's growth strategy and goals. Strategy & Leadership Develop and execute long-term financial plans that align with the company’s growth priorities. Implement financial strategies related to managing the annual budget and long-term objectives. Present alternative financial scenarios and options to assist the executive team in planning for growth and profitability. Promote a culture of margin optimisation across the organisation. Advise facility managers on business plans that align with the company’s strategic objectives. Oversee the timely development of budgets, financial reports, and models for informed decision-making by the CEO, board, and other stakeholders. Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and leadership team. Review, maintain, and develop financial policies and procedures that support business and strategic goals. Financial Management Oversee daily financial management of corporate and related entities. Lead and supervise the accounting team, ensuring efficient accounting processes and preparation of statutory and consolidated financial statements. Oversee monthly management accounts, variance analysis on profit and loss, and cash flow. Manage and supervise budget forecasting and updates. Oversee bank funding, prepare presentations, and manage financial and legal due diligence. Ensure compliance with bank covenants and manage cash flow across entities. Develop and monitor financial and non-financial KPIs to track company performance. Monitor the financial performance of capital expenditure (Capex) programs, including variance analysis and KPIs. Evaluate risk management and insurance requirements. Procurement & Acquisitions Develop and implement best practices in finance and procurement, with a focus on value for money and identifying future tender opportunities. Support the acquisition process, including due diligence and related tasks. Ensure expenditure is controlled within budget, identifying possible savings where applicable. Compliance & Reporting Manage annual audits and ensure timely completion of tax returns. Provide regular presentations and reports to stakeholders, delivering key financial insights. Oversee and enhance internal controls, systems, and processes to ensure compliance and accuracy of financial reporting. Team Management and Development Lead and manage the finance and accounting team, inspiring them to meet both finance and business goals. Provide professional development and mentorship to team members. Foster innovative thinking in developing cost-effective systems and processes to maximise return on investment. QUALIFICATIONS Relevant accounting qualification required – ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc. Proven experience as a Finance Director or in a senior leadership role within a medium to large organisation. Demonstrated track record of leadership and achievement in a performance-driven environment. Experience in stakeholder management and business partnering. Health care sector experience is an advantage. Project management experience preferred.
