Job Description : CFO NEW ZEALAND you’ll be at the forefront of strategic decision-making, working closely with the Executive Directors to drive financial transformation, operational excellence, and long-term profitable growth. With diverse business interests across property, farming, quarries, and concrete, you will develop and execute the financial strategy for the entire organisation. Leadership: Providing robust commercial and financial insights to the Executive Directors and Board. Leading by example, fostering a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement throughout the organisation. Directing and developing the Finance and ICT teams ensuring alignment with business goals, while promoting high performance, innovation, and efficiency in financial management and technology solutions. Financial Strategy: Developing long-term financial strategies, funding, and capital allocation plans that promote sustained growth and profitability. Leading financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across all business units. Mergers & Acquisitions: Spearheading M&A activities, including business case development, financial modelling and analysis, and executing transactions. Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful deal execution. Operational Improvement: Working closely with business managers to identify efficiencies, improve business and financial practices, and enhance performance. Risk & Compliance: Overseeing risk management strategies across all businesses and functions, and ensuring the business complies with legal and internal requirements. Collaborating with the Financial Controller and IT Manager to manage audit processes, internal controls, and ICT-related risks. We Are Seeking a Commercially Astute, Strategic Finance Leader With The Ability To Influence And Inspire Across Multiple Sectors. The Ideal Candidate Will Possess Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, with exposure to commercial strategy across diverse industries. Strong knowledge of property investment, management, and the drivers of successful farming, quarries, and concrete businesses. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including boards, banks, and advisors. Experience leading finance and ICT teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational best practices. CA or CPA qualification, and a high level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
