Job Description : HEAD COMMERCIAL - RESPONSIBLE FOR MARKETING, SALES AND COMMUNICATION - ZIMBABWE Reports to: CEO Direct Reports: Sales Managers/Marketing Executives Key Duties and Responsibilities 1. Formulating business strategies in response to changes in the operating environment and market. 2. Leading the development and implementation of the business’ sales & marketing strategy and ensuring alignment to the overall business plan to sustain business growth and profitability. 3. Reviewing and approving regional sales & marketing plans to ensure attainment of business plan objectives. 4. Monitoring competitor activities for competitive advantage. 5. Ensuring that all consumer and network sales, debtors and margins meet budgeted targets. 6. Developing, implementing and monitoring the Sales (income and expenditure) budget to ensure it is within approved limits. 7. Developing, implementing and monitoring all marketing activities to ensure product visibility in all markets. 8. Providing accurate financial information for the Sales & Marketing Department to Senior Management to monitor performance including regular briefs and performance update reports. 9. Formulating and planning the department’s annual budget within the context of the Company’s overall budget. 10. Developing, reviewing, implementing and monitoring the Standard Operating Procedures to ensure compliance. 11. Leading the sales & marketing team to achieve customer retention by providing efficient customer service. 12. Providing leadership to Sales Managers and Marketing Team in ensuring efficient and effective management of staff in order to meet departmental targets. 13. Engaging, developing, deploying and retaining talented staff including completing performance appraisals and personal development effectively and on time in accordance with the established performance management system. 14. Ensuring compilation and collation of various reports, proposals and budgets to the CEO and for review and guidance Qualifications & Experience 1. An Honours Degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing or related fields. 2. Relevant Masters’ Degree will be an added advantage. 3. 6 years plus Must be at Senior Management level.
