Operations Director

Job Description : OPERATIONS DIRECTOR WEST AFRICA 25+ years experience Operations Director, based in East London. The Operations Director will be responsible for planning and executing all operational activities to meet budget objectives. You will lead and manage a team of 30+ employees across the manufacturing facility and warehouse operations, ensuring the production schedule and business objectives are met. The role also involves identifying potential Ops and Manufacturing barriers, while implementing solutions effectively, while upholding quality, safety, cost control, and employee engagement. Lead all operational activities for a fast-growing food and drink manufacturing brand Experience in leading multi shift production and potential changes in production lines and facilities. Ensure production, engineering, and audit requirements are met within budget Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve systems – lean manufacturing implementation experience. Translate strategic company plans into actionable operational plans Set and monitor KPIs to measure operational success Report to the board on progress towards business goals Restructure business activities to increase speed and efficiency Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence Implement lean management to reduce stock holding and optimise capital Research cost-saving opportunities across the business Develop leadership and coaching programmes to enhance team effectiveness Oversee order fulfilment and production scheduling Ensure inventory management, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance • Mandatory proven experience in onsite food and/or drink manufacturing and supply chain experience • Strong knowledge of production, engineering, and supply chain • Strategic thinker with strong numerical and commercial focus • Excellent people management and leadership skills • Experience in budgeting and driving company wide KPIs • Compliance-driven with knowledge of Health, Safety & Environment standards • Strong commercial awareness and business improvement mindset • Excellent stakeholder management skills – from warehouse, production through to the senior board and investors.
