Job Description : GM PLANTATION IVC Open to French speakers The successful candidate will provide strong and visionary leadership to the plantation team, nurturing a culture of sustainability, environmental responsibility, and collaboration They will oversee all facets of palm oil plantation operations, ensuring efficient resource use, high yield, and compliance with environmental and social responsibility standards The General Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing both short-term and long-term strategic plans to optimize plantation performance, emphasizing sustainable practices and cost-effective strategies. Ensuring the production of high-quality palm oil products that meet industry standards and customer expectations. The candidate will be accountable for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations governing palm oil plantation operations, with a strong focus on sustainability and community engagement. Developing and managing the plantation's budget, with a keen eye on monitoring expenses and ensuring cost-effective operations. Identifying and mitigating potential operational and environmental risks and implementing preventive measures and contingency plans. Building and maintaining strong relationships with local communities, regulatory agencies, and industry partners. The Successful Applicant A bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related field is required. An MBA is considered an advantage. Demonstrated experience of at least 10 years in a leadership role within the palm oil plantation industry. Comprehensive knowledge of palm oil plantation processes, sustainable practices, and industry regulations. Strong understanding of environmental and social responsibility related to palm oil plantations. Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to drive sustainable practices and cost-effective operations. Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen. Strong project management skills. Demonstrated ability to lead change and adapt to evolving industry trends. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
