Job Description : Tin Line Production Manager *Location*: Madagascar We are seeking an experienced Tin Line Production Manager (Operator) to oversee and manage the canning line for our agri-business factory, which specializes in the processing of peppers, pineapples, and other vegetables. The role requires someone hands-on, who can not only manage the technical operations of the tin line but also train local staff, ensure high production quality, and coordinate with the vegetable processing expert to ensure smooth production processes. This position is based in a remote location and will require someone committed and able to handle dual responsibilities efficiently. - Oversee Tin Line Operations: Manage the canning production line, ensuring high efficiency, quality control, and smooth operations. - Technical Management: Handle both the operational and maintenance aspects of the canning machinery and be prepared to step in for troubleshooting. - Staff Training: Train local staff on machine operations, safety procedures, and quality standards, ensuring they are equipped to handle the line independently. - Vegetable Production Supervision: Collaborate with the vegetable processing expert to monitor production processes when the canning line is not in use, ensuring alignment with quality and safety standards. - Shift Management: Alternate between managing the tin line and overseeing vegetable production lines, ensuring seamless operation of one production line at a time. - Quality Assurance: Ensure that both canning and vegetable processing meet the highest quality standards and comply with regulatory guidelines. - Hands-on Work: Be prepared to actively engage in the technical aspects of the production line, not just oversee, but perform necessary tasks. - Logistical Oversight: Ensure the efficient flow of materials and products between the tin and vegetable processing lines. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelors degree Food Technology, or related fields preferred. - Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in managing tin can production lines, preferably in the food processing industry. - Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of canning machinery and vegetable processing equipment; ability to conduct troubleshooting and maintenance. - Leadership: Experience training and managing a team of operators, with strong communication skills. - Problem-Solving: Ability to handle operational challenges independently in a remote setting. - Flexibility: Willingness to switch between managing different production lines and handle various responsibilities. - The candidate should be comfortable living in a bachelor’s status and able to work in a flexible schedule, switching between production lines as needed.
