Job Description : Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing SOUTHERN AFRICA This is your chance to take on the role of COO for a global player in pharmaceutical manufacturing, delivering high-quality products to international markets. As COO, you will be the operational backbone of the company, ensuring seamless execution across manufacturing, supply chain, packaging, and distribution. You’ll be responsible for aligning operations with strategic business objectives and ensuring the company’s continued success in a competitive global market. Key Responsibilities: Operational Leadership: Convert strategic goals into actionable operational plans that drive efficiency and performance. Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, supply chain, and distribution for maximum output and minimal downtime. Team Development: Manage and mentor high-performing teams across Manufacturing, Packaging, Warehouse, and Dispatch. Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, cash flow, and financial planning to ensure cost-effective operations. Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure all operations meet industry standards, including strict adherence to pharmaceutical quality regulations and safety standards. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers, distributors, and partners to support global operations. 25+ years of senior management experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or production. Strong background in operational leadership with a track record of driving efficiency and growth. Proven ability to manage end-to-end supply chain, manufacturing, and distribution processes. Expertise in regulatory compliance within the pharmaceutical industry. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
