Job Description : Fleet Manager Fresh Food category Dubai, UAE A fleet manager oversees all commercial vehicles, drivers, and related assets, including their operations, conditions, external and internal policy compliance, and overall performance. Fleet managers ensure that vehicles and drivers are being utilized to their fullest potential in a safe and cost-effective manner. Drive efficiency & Cost Optimization - Fleet & Distribution Carriage Inward - Sea & Air Shipment Clearance & Cost optimization Process Improvement, Automation, and Tech adoption -Digitization Improvisations in Fleet & Logistics Vehicle - Statutory compliance, Utilization, Availability & branding Purchasing vehicles to expand and/or enhance the fleet Scheduling regular maintenance on all vehicles Ordering urgent or emergency repairs as needed Establishing efficient routes and transportation schedules Coordinating Drivers and on-staff maintenance professionals when setting employee schedules Managing vehicle licensing and registration Ensuring all fleet members have proper license and up-to-date training Monitoring Drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and proper driving practices; Training drivers on risk management protocols, safety standards. Providing reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance and fleet progress Developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency Monitor the documentation and records of the vehicles, especially areas related to the inspections, certifications, and servicing Ensure optimal vehicle management by conducting proper repairs of the fleet Partake in budgeting and maintaining the costs for proper fleet management Prior UAE experience - working of 8 - 10 years as a fleet manager, logistics manager or in a similar job role Proficiency in using computerised fleet management software/tools Expertise in budgeting and cost control TMS-Vzone exposure is desired ( Automation experience/implementation in distribution fleet ) Exim experience, exposure to DNATA/RTA regulatory requirements. In-depth knowledge of the transportation industry and its current trends Knowledge of fleet servicing, fleet scheduling, fleet analysis, and operations Valid driver’s license to operate different modes of fleet Extensive experience in Vehicle scheduling and dispatch,Efficient asset utilization and route planning & Vehicle inspection and maintenance
