Job Description : HEAD EXPORTS NIGERIA Head of Exports Sesame Seeds Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Exports to lead our sesame seeds export operations in Nigeria. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international trade, export compliance, and a deep understanding of the agricultural market. This role involves developing export strategies, managing relationships with international clients, and overseeing the end-to-end export process. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning: Develop and implement export strategies to maximize sales and market share for sesame seeds. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities. Operational Management: Oversee the entire export process, including logistics, documentation, and compliance with international trade regulations. Ensure timely delivery of products to international clients while maintaining quality standards. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and distributors in target markets. Act as the primary point of contact for international clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of export professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals. Foster a collaborative team environment focused on performance and continuous improvement. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all export regulations and standards, including quality certifications and safety protocols. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with international trade. Market Development: Conduct market research to identify new export opportunities and potential partnerships. Participate in trade shows and industry events to promote our sesame seeds and expand our network. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Agriculture, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 12 years of experience in export management, preferably in the agricultural sector. Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and export compliance. Proven track record of successfully managing export operations and achieving sales targets. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across cultures.
